The third person professional standard:
Genevieve Anna Tyrrell is a visual artist and creative writer. She earned her BS in Electronic Media and Film at Towson University and her MFA in creative writing at the University of Central Florida. Her writing has been published in Creative Nonfiction, Blood and Thunder: Musings on the Art of Medicine, Hippocampus, Carve Magazine, and Niche. Her art has appeared in The Rumpus, Smokelong Quarterly, and Animal: A Beast of a Literary Magazine. She is also a previous Pushcart Prize nominee. She lives in Orlando, Florida, and has taught both composition and creative writing in the area.
A second person prose poem:
You knew it would be this way, didn't you/ Didn't you? // You knew that setting up a new website would be a pain in the butt, but then again it looks, looks, looks so much better than your old Wordpress/ But what you didn't know, yes, didn't think would happen, didn't think you'd reach this place: You're experimenting with denial as a coping mechanism/ You're finding it's working out nicely.
A first person confession:
I wrestle giant bats. I shout in libraries. I steal pens. I am the first documented case of a Choline transporter mutation in the entire world. There's a costume designer in Hollywood with the exact same first and last name as me (and yes, we're Facebook friends of course). My cat's name is Spice and he's a fluffy Calico Chimera. If you didn't know me, and then you met me, you'd remember me.
